Ellen and her team of government agents, Clarrisa and Zavanna, had successfully infiltrated the underwater lair of the bio-terrorist Dr. Sea. The team found themselves in a metal dome with water going up to their shins. In the water swum hundreds of tiny fish.
Ellen quietly led the team through the room when she heard Zavanna shout.
“Son of a-” Zavanna shouted, grasping her foot.
“What happened?” Ellen asked.
Zavanna, still grasping her ankle, said, “The fish in the water are fricking pufferfish. It stabbed me when I got too close.”
Ellen put her hand on Zavanna's and asked, “Aren’t pufferfish poisonous?”
“Their insides are,” Clarrisa replied. “Even if the spikes were poisonous, Dr. Sea would be smart enough to keep an antidote close at all times.”
“Indeed I do,” came a mysterious voice. Lights turned on, revealing Dr. Sea standing next to a microphone.
“Dr Sea, you're under arrest for crimes against humanity,” Ellen shouted.
Dr Sea laughed. “That’s funny,” she said. “You call me a criminal when you defend people who pollute this planet, which will eventually cause the land to be consumed by the sea.” The doctor reached into her pocket, pulled out a party popper, and lifted it to the microphone. “I am just making sure people are ready to join the party when that happens,” Dr Sea said as she pulled the party popper.
‘BANG’ went the party popper, its noise amplified by the speakers around the room.
Instantaneously, all the pufferfish in the water expanded, turning the floor into a sea of spikes. None of the agents could avoid the pufferfish spikes and got stabbed in their legs. All three ladies cried out in pain, dropping their guns.
Ellen and Clarrisa then turned as they heard Zavanna say, “I don’t feel so good,” in a muffled tone. The two women turned to see their friend's lips had swollen, and her skin was turning orange. Zavanna then grabbed her stomach as it looked like it was bulging. Clarrisa was about to reach out to Zavanna again when Ellen saw spikes popping out of Zavannas's catsuit. Ellen realized something was about to happen and grabbed Clarrisa, pulling her back, as Zavanna's body blew up like a spiky balloon, destroying her clothes.
The two women now saw a giant naked female anthro pufferfish towering above them with Zavannas's hairstyle.
Clarrisa stepped forward and asked the giant fish woman, “Are you okay, Zavanna?”
Zavanna stood there silently, in a daze, breathing heavily. With each breath, her throat inflated like a frog's.
“Zavanna?” Clarrisa said worriedly.
Ellen spun round to face Dr. Sea. “What did you do to her?” Ellen barked at the scientist.
Dr. Sea simply smiled. “It is a side effect of the transformation,” she answered. “The human brain cannot handle the body expanding, so a complete mental reset occurs when a person transforms. It also makes it much easier to train them.”
“You won’t get away with this,” Clarrisa snapped. “We’ll take you down and...” Clarrisa started but began to trail off as her lips swelled like Zavanna's had. Before Clarrisa could do anything, her body ballooned outwards like Zavanna, and she became a pufferfish woman.
“Oh no,” Ellen said as she felt her lips swell just before she transformed as well. Ellen then felt her body begin to inflate. “I can fight this. I can fight this,” she thought to herself. “I can fi-” she thought before her transformation was completed in an explosion of her clothes.
