Mildred's husband was a lifetime supporter of the New England Patriots. Upon them winning their fifth super-bowl, he began to become unbearable. Within the Patriots' fandom, quarterback Tom Brady began to be referred to as the GOAT (an acronym that stood for "Greatest Of All Time"). When her husband first started referring to Tom Brady as the GOAT, Mildred found it amusing. However, her husband's chanting of "GOAT, GOAT, GOAT..." during major passes in games got tiring real fast. Eventually, Mildred got exhausted enough by her husband's GOAT talk, that she decided to give her husband what he wanted.
You see, Mildred was a witch... and she intended to put a curse on Tom Brady.
The Patriots had to defeat the Colts in order to reach the championship finals. They were in the final quarter when Mildred put her curse on Tom Brady. In an instant, Tom Brady was transformed into an anthropomorphic goat (and a female one at that)!
At first, the fans were shocked... but one by one they began cheering at Brady's magic trick. Mildred's husband began chanting "GOAT, GOAT, GOAT..." even louder than ever before and Mildred began to realize that her plan had backfired. She quietly lifted her curse and Tom Brady returned to normal.
In the aftermath of the game, the NFL investigated Tom Brady's transformation as an attempt by the Patriots to achieve an unfair advantage against the Colts, despite Brady not even taking the field during his one minute transformation. The incident became known as "GOATgate" in the press and the NFL Commission was widely mocked by the general population for being idiots.
The FCC also fined CBS $500,000 for showing 2 nipples during a primetime broadcast. The nipples in question belonged to Brady's udders.
