During the next weeks - if not months - something developed inside the still mentally and physically changing former mutants, especially the first who had succumbed to bovinehood, Rogue. Her skin might have fully lost its power-absorbing ability, but her milk had gained it in more than one way.
The primary way was that by drinking a certain amount of it, for a couple of days the one doing so could copy certain mental and physical traits of those he or she touched after ingesting the milk. The duration of those changes depended on the length of time the milk had been drunk daily.
However, there was a second way that was even more powerful and closer to Rogue's signature power. Rogue, or as she called herself now, Omega, could copy, if not absorb, mental and physical powers of those who had been ingesting her milk on a regular basis.
The name Omega was the result of a new increasingly dominant and power-hungry personality that was slowly forming in her mind and erasing her former (but also her bovine) self, since a certain mutant drank her milk the first time. This new personality was in fact just waiting for this mutant to show up and give in to his addiction to her milk, in order to fully break free and take control.
This moment came when this mutant decided to pay the source of his favorite nourishment a personal visit. Or better to say, the leader of the group of evil mutant masterminds that had concocted the idea of getting rid of the X-men... was none other than Mister Sinister, who without really noticing it developed a quite intense addiction to “Omega's” milk and its effects. These effects, beside other things, allowed him to increase his intellect and understanding of mutation and genetics beyond his wildest dreams, making him even more self-assured and arrogant than before.
He therefore had no doubts when Omega, acting docile and needy, approached him, offering her overfilled udders to him. Being absolutely (yet wrongly) sure of being immune to any side effect, he took the offer and drank, not realizing that this was all part of somebody else's plan. A plan that included what happened inside Omega's head when his greedy suckling on her udder further strengthened the connection she already established to Sinister's body and mind.
The little power burst this gave her allowed Omega's new personality to fully take over Rogue's mind and body, taking full control of her new power as well. Next, she used her new ability to grow immensely stronger by adding a number of powers to her own and to enhance all of them greatly.
One of these powers was telepathy and through it she sent Sinister just one short thing: “Welcome to bovinehood, my pet!”
Receiving this mental message, Sinister realized that something was going horribly wrong with his plan but it was too late. The fate of Sinister, his partners, and all his henchmen present in the facility, as far more docile and powerless cowgirls was sealed within a few single heartbeats.
This image shows Omega together with her favorite pet and cow, Siny, a few weeks later. Omega loves to let her pet realize what has been done to it before turning all the arising feelings of shock, frustration, and disgust into pure joy at being able to worship and please its mistress.
