It started off as a normal day, with Violet's family bringing their wares to the monthly market, when a mole's den in the road collapsed, breaking their cart's rear axle. This left Violet and her mother to make their way to town to seek help while her brother and father stayed behind to see if they could manage a temporary repair.
Unfortunately, a thick fog began to roll in from nearby, causing Violet to lose track of her mother and the road. Taking a moment, Violet recognized that she had wandered onto a well-trod path in the nearby wood with wheel indentations on the ground. Realizing that she might be nearing another home, Violet quickened her pace, thinking that she may have found a way to aid her family sooner than the full trek to town.
After several hours, Violet had no idea where she was but continued to follow the path, hoping that it would lead her somewhere. Violet eventually spotted light in the distance, racing with cries of help towards what she hoped was a sign of civilization.
Approaching the light, she noted that it came from a hooded lantern held by a man in a gentleman's riding coat. He explained that he was Todd Llwynog and that the path she was on led to his estate and that he came when he heard her pleas. Explaining that it was growing late, he offered to escort her home in the morning and offered his hospitality for the night. Violet accepted Mr. Llwynog's generosity and soon found herself at a modestly sizable country manor.
Inside, she couldn't help but marvel at the veiled beauty of the maids in her host's service. After the maids helped her clean up with a warm bath and a spare uniform, Violet came to enjoy Mr. Llwynog's company for dinner.
The dinner was lovely, and Violet soon joined her host in the salon where, after telling Mr. Llwynog about her life, she couldn't help but wish that she could enjoy his hospitality for a while longer. Once she said this, Violet noticed a wry grin on her host's face, and a strange sensation began to sweep through her body as she fell to the floor.
Soon Violet saw that her fingernails had fallen away, replaced by oddly manicured brown claws, with a similar sensation coming from the tips of her toes. Victoria then began to notice patches of brown, white, and orange fur sprouting from her body, soon to be accompanied by a pulling sensation coming from her face, ears, and lower back.
With tears in her eyes, wondering what was happening to her body, Violet looked up at Todd Llwynog and gasped in shock. Looking back at her was a humanoid fox in velvet gentleman's attire with a bemused look on his foxy face, flanked by two humanoid vixens wearing only maid's aprons, bonnets, and wistful expressions, as if observing a spectacle they had experienced themselves.
Todd spoke up, saying that Violet's desire would be granted as she became the latest addition to the manor of the Reynardine.
Soon enough, after a moment of confusion and panic, Violet's transformation into a vixen maid was complete and she bid her old life goodbye in favor of her new one, serving Todd Llwynog in the upkeep of his manor and Todd himself in his chambers.
